Your child should wear their shirt/uniform if they have one as well as non-marking gym shoes. They should also bring their handbook and a Bible.

Please leave all personal belongings such as stuffed animals, toys and books at home. These items sometimes become a distraction during meeting nights and are often left behind in the building.

Yes! The more you help at home, the more successful your child will be. We love seeing the joy a kid has when they share what they've learned.

No. But we do ask that ONE parent or guardian (older sibling 6th & up is also fine) come into the building for both check in and check out. You'll need your check-in security number in order to pick up your child. Other than that, you’re free to grab a quick bite, run to the store or nap in your car! Please be on time for pick up at 8PM.

Drip, don’t pour.
Work on verses, one phrase at a time, every day. For example, at bedtime, say the first few words of a verse and on the next night, say the first few words again and add the next few words and so on. Posting the verses where they can see them regularly also helps. Try dry erase marker on the bathroom mirror or index cards in the car.

Go for the meaning or the general concept.
Because of how God has wired some kids, memorization is just not going to happen. Don’t let your kids become frustrated or discouraged. If a verse is too hard for them to memorize, ask them to at least explain what it means or put the verse in their own words. We want them to enjoy
learning Bible verses. It shouldn’t be a chore!

Check-In: Each Child will be checked in by an adult/guardian and receive a unique security code that will match the Childs name badge.

During Awana: We keep our main doors locked so nobody is able to enter the building with adults monitoring our property. We have security cameras both inside and outside of our building that can be used when needed.

Check-Out: Our front doors will be unlocked with adult supervision. You will bring your unique identification number to pick up your child(ren). If you do not have the code, we will contact the emergency contact given upon registration to make sure your child leaves with who they are supposed to.

Leaders: Fellowship Bible Church invests into full background checks for all of our volunteers that work alongside minors. We also have our own protocols in which they are prepare for various types of emergencies and safe guards.
