Fellowship (Koinonia in Greek) = modeling the love of Jesus that has been extended to us in a shared community.

Coffee & donuts are good but aren't good enough to really get to know someone. Let's face it, we were not designed to live life in isolation but rather we are created for community. It's in community where the Apostle Paul exhorts Christ followers around 60 times by using the "one another" statements. Serve (Gal. 5:13), Encourage (Heb. 3:13), Love (1 John 4:12), Instruct (Rom. 15:14) one another.

We dont' pretend to be a perfect people but we are a people being perfectly made through the Grace of God. We would love for you to be our guest and let us take this journey with you.

OUR STORY

And the Two Became One...

Fellowship Bible Church came from the merging of two churches: Faith Bible Church and City Grace Church.

Faith Bible Church has it's lineage go back over 100 years. FBC was the byproduct of a church merger between Grace Bible Church & Faith Church 80 years ago. Faith had seen great growth through lead Pastor Tim Terhune alongside Worship & Student Pastor Jason Lemp. Prior to both pastors retiring and moving, they helped lead the transition with the City Grace Church merger.

City Grace Church was originally a Filipino Church plant in Royal Oak, MI in 1996 as United International Christian Church. Over the years, UICC had seen great growth and reach to the Filipino and local community. Founding Pastor Ruel Navarro left for Virginia Beach, VA to church plant. At that time, Johnny Best was called to be Pastor in which he led through a renewed call in both vision & mission thus becoming City Grace Church.

WHERE WE'RE GOING

Fellowship Bible Church isn't a church full of gimmicks, slick tech or high production programming. We really are a diverse group of people that live out the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
Knowing that we belong to God and belong to each other, that changes the way we relate with one another and the world around us. Our desire is to equip the saints for works of service that God has prepared in advance for us to do. Jesus is and always will be the Hero of our story.

1 Peter 4:8-11 (shortened) - “Above all, love each other deeply… offer hospitality… use gifts to faithfully serve others… so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”

Meet our extended family

Fellowship Bible Church is part of Converge MidAmerica|Southeast|Caribbean. Converge is made up of autonomous churches that share the same DNA, vision, and values. Like a family, each church is governed independently and has its own unique personality that fits its neighborhood, but is connected strategically and relationally with the other Converge churches. We believe that God’s main mode of spreading the gospel is through the local church, and we have a vision to start & strengthen churches across the Midwest and beyond.
